Material
Needles: 6 mm.
Wool: 150 grs. for size M (3 balls, lanas Stop Prima merino (fingering).
Abbreviations
s- slip p- purl
ktog- knit together
yo - yarn over
k- Knit
Pattern
Cast on 90 + 2 stitches, if you want to make it wider or narrower sure to mount a multiple of 3 + 2 extra points.
All rows - Slip first stitch
Row 1 & 2 -k (garter stitch)
Design
(remember all rows - Slip first stitch)
row 1: s1, *k3tog, leave them on left needle, yo, k3tog again (the same 3 stitches), k1*, repeat from * to* to last stitch, k.
row 2: purl
row 3: s1, k2 *k3tog, leave them on left needle, yo, k3tog again (the same 3 stitches), k1*, repeat from * to* to last 3 stitches , k3.
row 4: purl
front
Last 2 rows - knit (garter stitch)
back
Bind off
Knit two stitches and pass first stitch over the second, knit third stitch, pass second stitch over third stitch. Third stitch over fourth… and so to complete the row.
Finish
Once bind off, the garment wet spots, stretch gently stretching the stiches on a firm surface and hold it with pins. Let dry for the subject to look better and take a shawl.

I think there is a mistake in the English directions -- at least, they are different from the Spanish.
Row 3 reads in Spanish: vuelta 3: 1pst, 2d, *3pjd, sin sacarlos de la aguja hecha hebra y vuelve a tejer los mismos 3pjd., 1d*, repetir de * a * hasta que falten 3 puntos, 3d.
Row 3 reads in English: row 3: s1, *k2, k3tog, leave them on left needle, yo, k3tog again (the same 3 stitches), k1*, repeat from * to* to last 3 stitches , k3.
The position of the first * is different, causing a different result, and does not produce the "last 3 stitches" at the end of the last combination stitch.
